Representatives of the Druzhkov community are among the contenders for the title of the best athlete of the Donetsk region in October.:
- Artyom Garbar is an international–class Ukrainian master of Sports in taekwondo (PTF), a bronze medalist at the men‘s World Championship in the weight category up to 87 kg (coach Yuriy Biryukov).
- Olga Ivzhenko is an international–class master of sports of Ukraine in weightlifting, the absolute European champion among youth under 23 in the 58 kg weight category (coach Viktor Romanchuk).
